Sunday was a very good day for Trojan athletes, as three teams captured conference titles:

  • The top-ranked women’s beach volleyball team defeated Arizona to claim the first-ever Pac-12 Championship. The Women of Troy won their 26th straight match and will now await selection into the first-ever NCAA championship.
  • The top-ranked women’s water polo team captured its fourth MPSF Championship with a come-from-behind 8-5 win over Stanford. Now 23-0 overall, USC awaits the NCAA Tournament bracket announcement, which are expected today on NCAA.com.
  • The top-seeded USC women’s lacrosse team completed an 8-5 win over second-seeded tournament host No. 9 Stanford to win the program’s first MPSF title. The Women of Troy remained undefeated and will receive the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Championships, which begin May 13.
