USC President Carol L. Folt and Professor Neeraj Sood join mayor at COVID-19 briefing

Folt and Sood appeared with Eric Garcetti to discuss Sood’s serological testing study, which could help leaders around the world determine how and when life can return to normal.

USC President Carol L. Folt and Professor Neeraj Sood of the USC Price School of Public Policy joined Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at his daily COVID-19 briefing Wednesday to discuss Sood’s serological testing study.

Sood described the study, in which researchers from USC and the county tested the blood of 1,000 randomly selected individuals for COVID-19 antibodies over the weekend. It’s an effort that could help chart the safest path toward post-pandemic life. Folt praised the unique collaborative effort involving the university, L.A. County and the mayor’s office, along with partners at Stanford University and UCLA.
