USC interim President Wanda M. Austin honored at L.A. City Hall event

The university leader is presented the Hall of Fame Award at the city’s African American Heritage Month Celebration

USC interim President Wanda M. Austin accepted the city of Los Angeles’ Hall of Fame Award in education at Wednesday’s African American Heritage Month Celebration. Austin is the first African-American and the first woman to lead the university.

The event at Los Angeles City Hall also saw Hall of Fame awards presented to Superior Court Judge Kevin Brazile in law and AT&T’s Ken McNeely in Business; Grammy winner BeBe Winans received the Living Legend Award.
