The USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy officially launched its $5 million campaign initiative on 0ct. 18, the largest undertaken for a physical therapy program in the United States.

Sara Train, a nutritionist who teaches healthful cooking as part of the Fit Families program of the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, has received a $2,500 Maestro Positivo (Positive Role Model) award from the California Milk Processor Board (CMPB). A matching amount was awarded to the Fit Families program, the charity of Train’s choice.

USC Professor Honored by Physical Therapy Association
Chris Powers was honored in Maryland.

Chris Powers, associate professor of biokinesiology and physical therapy at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, director of the biokinesiology program and co-director of the Jacquelin Perry Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Research Laboratory, has been honored as a Catherine Worthingham Fellow, the most prestigious award bestowed by the Fellows of the American Physical Therapy Association.
