The pups at play outside Leavey Library on Tuesday were there for a reason: The visit by the dogs, from Love on 4 Paws in Sherman Oaks, was one of the stress-reducing events provided by the USC Engemann Student Health Center as final exams draw near.

The center’s Office for Wellness and Health Promotion schedules several events to help students stay calm amid the challenges of finals. In addition to the therapy dogs visits (co-sponsored by USC Transportation Services), yoga and tai chi events are also available when students need a study break.

Remaining events

  • Vinyasa yoga, 4-5:15 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Room 101 of the health center.
  • Therapy dogs, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday outside Leavey Library.
