‘Doctors of USC’ marketing campaign wins national recognition

“The Doctors of USC” was one of only two marketing programs in the nation to receive an award from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) at its annual meeting held Oct. 30-Nov. 4 in New Orleans.

The Doctors of USC campaign is a campus-wide marketing program administered and funded by USC Care Medical Group, Inc. with contributions from USC University Hospital, USC/Norris and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

The campaign has included radio and newspaper advertising, direct mail and collateral materials.

The AAMC’s Award of Distinction went to The Doctors of USC campaign and to the University of Pennsylvania for the Penn Medicine at Radnor Grand Opening campaign.

More than 176 entries were submitted for awards in 10 categories, including marketing, periodicals, writing, electronic communications and development programs.

Chris Dudley, assistant vice president for medical communications at the University of Miami and a judge in the marketing category, said that The Doctors of USC campaign was “extremely comprehensive, having a clean look that identifies strongly with the university.”
