KUSC and KDFC to give samples of fall concerts
Let the California classical stations be your guide to what’s coming on the arts scene
It’s like a sneak preview before the concert. Starting today on Classical KUSC and at kusc.org, and Monday, Sept. 14 on Classical KDFC and at kdfc.com, the new fall arts seasons in Southern California and the Bay Area, respectively, will be sampled every hour of the workday.
It’s called the Fall Arts Preview week. At KUSC, it will run through Friday, Sept. 11. At KDFC, it will run through Friday, Sept. 18. At the top of each hour, announcers will highlight soloists coming to town or showcase works being played in area concert halls this season.
To create its list of samples, the KUSC and KDFC teams searched far and wide among venues in their listening areas for concerts their listeners really shouldn’t miss. The stations’ websites give details for attending each event.
