Demetrios Boutris, California legal affairs secretary and the top legal adviser to the governor, delivered a lecture, “Law, Politics and Public Policy,” to students in assistant professor Jeffrey Sellers’ political science class on Thursday, Jan. 27. While visiting USC, Boutris presented an official commendation from Gov. Gray Davis to Chrysostomos “Max” Nikias, director of the Integrated Media Systems Center. The commendation read in part: “By promoting cutting-edge technology, you and your colleagues at the University of Southern California’s Integrated Media Systems Center have helped our state successfully meet the challenges of the new millennium.”
