University gears up for 117th commencement ceremonies
USC’s 117th Commencement will be held at the Alumni Park on the University Park Campus, Friday, May 12. The event will be simultaneously Webcast on the Internet, enabling families around the world to watch and listen. Point your browser to www.usc.edu/commencement. Baccalaureate ceremonies will also be Webcast on Thursday, May 11.
Complete commencement coverage is listed online, along with links to the Quicktime and RealVideo feeds for the event.
These events will be Webcast using the Quicktime 4 player available free from Apple. Solaris and Linux users should use the RealPlayer 7 player from Real Networks.
Michael D. Eisner, chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Co., will receive an honorary doctorate and deliver the commencement address. USC President Steven B. Sample will confer the honorary degree a doctorate of humane letters, honoris causa along with more than 8,000 degrees to graduating students in ceremonies beginning at 8:30 a.m. in USC’s Alumni Memorial Park.
