The May 10 Foothill Leader section of the Los Angeles Times (above) featured a front-page illustrated feature of the Boyd family. Father Edwin “Skip” Forrest Boyd III picked up his Ed.D. at commencement while his two older children – Tad and Lisa – got their B.A. degrees. Tad was an anthropology major, while Lisa majored in education.
“I think it provided comic relief,” Skip Boyd said about attending USC with his children. (Youngest child Katie is a freshman majoring in theater.) “I would hear them telling me the things I would tell them when they were in elementary school.”
