HSC Bids Farewell to the Class of 2000

In ceremonies on both campuses May 12 and May 14, graduates of Health Sciences programs celebrated USC’s 117th commencement. Graduating from the Keck School were 12 masters of science, 153 doctors of medicine, 15 doctors of philosophy and two M.D./Ph.D. recipients. The Keck School recognized its outstanding scholars during a May 13 ceremony in the HSC Quad. Among the students honored were Kathleen Haller and Keun-Young Kim, American Medical Association Education and Research Foundation Award; and Suzy Kim, Frederick Napier Elliott Award. Also honored were Astrid Heger, associate professor of clinical pediatrics, and student Anthony Mascola, Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey Humanism in Medicine Award.
