“It is deeply satisfying to receive the Michael R. Losey Award and high praise that this esteemed organization would recognize my work’s value to HR research and practice,” said Boudreau, a former professor of human resources studies at Cornell University. “The award reflects my good fortune to have had such amazing students and colleagues in the industry and academia, including Michael Losey himself, and the privilege of collaborating with so many of my fellow Losey award winners.”
Boudreau, a previous SHRM Foundation grant recipient, is being recognized for his breakthrough research on the link between strong talent practices, pivotal human capital and a competitive edge in business.
Over his 30-year career, Boudreau has been a prolific contributor to the literature of HR management, showing the economic value of HR programs and evidence-based HR leadership and influencing the direction of HR management research and practice. He has served as director of the Center for Advanced Human Resources Studies and the Central Europe Human Resources Education Initiative.
“We are delighted our colleague has won this prestigious honor,” said Edward Lawler, director of the Center for Effective Organizations at USC Marshall. “It is a validation of the many important contributions he has made to our knowledge about organizational effectiveness and to the organizations with which we work.”
