Tweeting through the games

“Thank you all for your notes. I still can’t quite believe that I became an Olympic medalist.”

Trojan alum Vladimir Morozov tweeted that message to his followers on July 30, after leading Russia to a spot on the medal stand with a third-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle relay.

Morozov is one of more than 20 Trojan Olympians who have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, experiences and successes at the London Games.

Former USC All-American women’s volleyball player Jennifer Kessy tweeted a behind-the-scenes look at Covergirl’s special athletes shoot: “Check out my behind the Scenes with our COVERGIRL via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DIGLIG6xkw&sns=tw via @youtube.”

High jumper Jesse Williams, who lettered in track at USC from 2004 to 2006, tweeted: “About to do my last jumps in practice before the games! 6 more days till qualifying!”

Puerto Rico sprinter Carol Rodriguez, who also lettered in track at USC from 2005 to 2008, tweeted a photo of herself standing under the Olympic rings in the Olympic Village.
