The deadline to submit nominations for the USC Emeriti Center’s third annual J. Tillman Hall Staff Award for Service to USC is Feb. 25.

The award acknowledges post-retirement service by a USC staff member. Nominees will be honored for outstanding voluntary contributions toward enhancing the overall quality of university life for students, faculty staff, alumni, retirees or other members of the USC community and who have contributed to the positive collegial spirit of the Trojan Family.

Emergency Course Begins Feb. 17 at HSC

A 21-hour course in certified emergency response training will be held on seven consecutive Thursday mornings beginning Feb. 17.

Taught by the Office of Fire Safety and Emergency Planning, the course will offer instruction on fire suppression, medical operations, triage, light search and rescue, psychology and simulation.

The class will be taught 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays from Feb. 17-March 31 in the conference room on the first floor of the Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC.
