Kris Klinger ’92 has been named the new director of USC Hospitality.
Klinger most recently served as corporate director for Strategic Alliance Group, where he oversaw accounts for Compass Group, the leading contract food service company in North America.
Returning to his alma mater, where he earned a B.S. in German and international relations, Klinger will lead USC Hospitality in strategy development and customer service programs while continuing to revitalize the dining program both on- and off-campus.
One of his first goals will be to revamp existing dining choices on the Health Sciences campus. He also plans to expand the recently opened Farmers Market.
Another objective will be to lead the development and selection of dining options for the new Ronald Tutor Campus Center due to open next fall.
Klinger will collaborate with the USC Hospitality team and work with partners on USC campuses, as well as off-campus restaurants such as Rosso’s Pizzeria, The Lab, McKay’s and the recently opened URBNMRKT.
USC Hospitality, which revamped the food and beverage program at the Radisson at USC, Midtown Los Angeles, is expanding its on- and off-campus catering capabilities and portfolio of special events venues.
It also opened The Lot, a 20,000-square-foot dining facility with eight concepts and a marketplace, and introduced new beverage and dining options such as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Wahoo’s Fish Taco to existing dining facilities.
