USC Rossier Professor Returns to Jeopardy!

USC Rossier Professor Returns to Jeopardy!
USC Rossier School of Education assistant professor Morgan Polikoff

Morgan Polikoff, assistant professor of K-12 policy and leadership at the USC Rossier School of Education, was a runaway winner in his debut appearance Nov. 18 on the long-running game show Jeopardy!

The show’s Twitter followers are lining up behind Polikoff, who returns tonight to face two new competitors at 7 p.m. on ABC 7.

In Polikoff’s first appearance, he quickly took over the lead from his two competitors in widely diverse categories that included sports, anthropology, alliteration, and poetry. With a “Final Jeopardy!” category about Academy Award-winning actor/directors, he sealed his win with the correct answer of Clint Eastwood and took home $22,000, more than triple the winnings of his two challengers.

Polikoff is a researcher at USC Rossier whose work focuses on improving the effectiveness of local, state and federal K-12 policies. He came to USC Rossier in 2010 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his Ph.D. He is a native of the Chicago area.
