USC Calls for Distinguished Nominees

USC’s Honorary Degrees Committee is calling for names of distinguished individuals to be considered for an honorary degree at future commencements.

“The committee looks forward to nominations from the Trojan Family,” said J. Lawford Anderson, committee chair. “The committee is particularly interested in a diverse set of candidates.”

This degree honors those who distinguish themselves through extraordinary achievements in scholarship, the professions or other creative activities; honors alumni and others who have made outstanding contributions to USC or their communities; recognizes exceptional acts of philanthropy to USC; and those who are widely known and highly regarded for achievements in their respective fields of endeavor.

Any USC faculty, staff, student, alumni or trustee may nominate a candidate. Submit nominations to: Chair of the Honorary Degrees Committee, c/o the Office of the Provost, ADM 102, MC 4019.
