Committee Chair Calls for Nominations

Any USC faculty, staff, student, alumni or trustee may nominate a candidate.

Margo Apostolos, the chair of USC’s Honorary Degrees Committee, is calling for names of distinguished individuals to be considered for an honorary degree at future spring commencements.

“The committee looks forward to receiving formal nominations from the USC community at large, particularly those that reflect diversity, creativity and depth of talent,” said Apostolos, director of the department of dance in the USC School of Theatre.

This degree honors those who distinguish themselves through extraordinary achievements in scholarship, the professions or other creative activities; salutes alumni and others who have made outstanding contributions to USC or their communities; and recognizes exceptional acts of philanthropy to USC and those who elevate the university in the eyes of the world.

Any USC faculty, staff, student, alumni or trustee may nominate a candidate. Submit nominations to: Chair of the Honorary Degrees Committee, c/o the Office of the Provost, ADM 203, MC 4019.

Nomination forms and instructions on how to make a nomination can be found on the USC Honorary Degrees Web site at https://www.usc.edu/admin/provost/honorarydegrees.
