International Law and U.S. Foreign Policy

There have been multiple changes in international law in the last century, and in the second, revised edition of his textbook, Carl Q. Christol, Distinguished Emeritus Professor of political science in USC College, presents some of the most pressing issues, including new chapters on U.S. immigration policy, terrorism, unlawful detainees and torture. Christol analyzes the relationship between international law and present-day American foreign policy, with discussions on climate change, land mines, international criminal tribunals, and arms control and disarmament.
