Students get their Trojan spirit on as Residential College Cup competition gets underway

It’s the first opportunity for residential colleges to earn points in the yearlong competition

With eight new residential colleges coming on board this year as USC Village opened, the Residential College Cup Opening Ceremonies on Friday took on an aura of excitement. The competition awards points to each residential college based on its performance in various events throughout the year. Friday’s kickoff at Galen Center — which followed a rally at Tommy Trojan — gave the residential colleges their first chance to get points on the board. Take a look at some of the evening’s fun, including the march from Tommy to Galen Center led by the Trojan Marching Band.
