Michael Beschloss presents a historian’s perspective in USC speech

The NBC News contributor spoke at Town and Gown as part of the USC President’s Distinguished Lecture series

Noted historian Michael Beschloss spoke at Town and Gown on the University Park Campus as part of the USC President’s Distinguished Lecture series. An award-winning historian, best-selling author of nine books, New York Times columnist and Emmy-winning contributor to NBC News and the PBS NewsHour, Beschloss also has the largest Twitter following of any historian with more than 110,000 followers.

Founded in 1996, the President’s Distinguished Lecture series brings highly respected men and women to campus to discuss significant issues of the day. Speakers in the series have included Madeleine Albright, Tom Brokaw, George W. Bush and Laura Bush, Henrique Cardoso, Bill Clinton, Vicente Fox, Robert Gates, Henry Kissinger, George Mitchell, Shimon Peres, Colin Powell, Margaret Thatcher and Lech Walesa.
