USC posts big Rivalry Week win over UCLA (in flag football)

Trojan football equipment managers head to enemy territory to take on their Bruin counterparts — and come away with a long-awaited victory

On Saturday, all eyes will be on the Rose Bowl for the big Rivalry Week game between USC and UCLA (7:30 p.m., ESPN). But the Trojans pulled an early win Thursday night when both schools’ football equipment managers faced off on the UCLA practice field in the “managers’ Super Bowl.” The friendly game between crosstown competitors has become a regular tradition — and this one paid off for the visitors.
