With thousands of new students ready to descend on USC in late August, the university’s freshman orientation sessions are underway. Starting last week, groups of incoming students visited the University Park Campus for tours, a spirit rally, social events and performances by the Trojan Marching Band. The first session was June 9-10; other sessions are June 23-24, June 29-30, July 7-8, July 12-13, July 21-22 and Aug. 15-16.

Not all orientations are on campus, though. Orientation sessions were held earlier this month in the Chicago and Dallas areas as well as Beijing and Shanghai. And out-of-town orientation sessions take place Saturday in the New York area and Hong Kong, and June 25 in the Bay Area.
