USC grad students to attend 2012 World Health Assembly
A group of USC Master of Public health students will attend the 65th World Health Assembly next week in Geneva as delegates for the Union for International Cancer Control.
The 14 students also will serve as liaisons and reporters for the NCD Alliance, an international advocacy organization that promotes awareness and response to non-communicable diseases.
The students will use blogs and social media to discuss the assembly’s topics, interview delegates and share their experiences during the event.
In the second week of the trip, the students will visit international nonprofits and institutions, including the World Economic Forum, the GAVI Alliance, The Global Fund for HIV, TB and Malaria, Doctors Without Borders and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
