USC Dominates Meeting of International Society
This year’s International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research annual meeting, held May 15-19 in Atlanta, featured poster and podium presentations by numerous members of the USC family.
Six faculty members, 21 students and 18 alums from the USC School of Pharmacy gave presentations on various pharmacoeconomic topics. Three of the presentations earned top awards at the event.
Danielle Colayco, an M.S. student who graduated in May, received one of three best student poster awards.
Alum Hae Sun Suh received a best podium presentation by a new investigator award for her project, which she worked on with professor Joel Hay, one of the original founders of the society, and associate professor Jason Doctor.
Alum Ning Yan Gu also received a best podium presentation by a new investigator award.
School of Pharmacy professor Michael Nichol gave two podium presentations at the meeting, which he presented with Ph.D. student Jae Jin An.
The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research focuses on the study of health economics.
