NURSING IN THE COMMUNITY
RN-BSN/MSN students in the Department of Nursing Program hosted a health fair education booth on skin cancer prevention at the 16th annual American Cancer Society Minnie Ripperton 5/10K Run and Walk, held Nov. 8 at the Los Angeles Coliseum. During the event, nursing students stressed the importance of health education and early cancer detection. The nurses also educated visitors to the booth about skin cancer prevention and handed out free sunscreen.
