Medical Faculty Wives welcome new faculty

The Medical Faculty Wives & Friends of USC hosted a wine and cheese party on Oct. 17 welcoming new faculty members to the Keck School of Medicine.

More than 200 guests attended the reception, which was held at the San Marino home of Michael Patzakis, professor and chair of the Department of Orthopaedics and holder of the Vincent and Julia Meyer Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery, and his wife Susan.

During the party, Stephen J. Ryan, dean of the Keck School of Medicine, introduced the new faculty members in each department and thanked the Medical Faculty Wives and Friends for their support of the School and its students.

The Medical Faculty Wives has been involved in helping USC for more than 55 years and recently established an endowment fund for student scholarships, currently worth $25,000.
