Here’s more grant news that researchers can use

The grant opportunities just keep coming.

Grants currently available include:

· 2000 Kimmel Scholar Award: Ten awards of $200,000 support accomplished young investigators dedicated to a career in cancer research. Application deadline: Dec. 10, 1999. For more information on this award, please go to their web site at: http://www. kimmel.org.

· Bristol-Myers Squibb Award for Distinguished Achievement in Metabolic Research: $50,000 supports a scientist making outstanding contributions to metabolic disease research on diabetes, obesity or hyperlipidemia.

Application deadline: December 1, 1999.

· USC Research Center for Liver Diseases Support for Pilot/Feasibility Projects and New Investigator Award: The Center provides seed money of up to $24,000 for worthy projects in the field of liver and digestive tract function and disease.
