a plaque identifying the Los Angeles Times Electronic Newsroom in
Grace Ford Salvatori Hall, which was officially dedicated this
month. The fully operational newsroom, funded through a $250,000
grant over two years from Times Mirror, provides students in print
journalism, broadcast newswriting and public relations with
Macintosh computers, scanners, printers and other equipment and
software needed to write and produce newspapers and magazines.
