USC Village is rising: Take a ‘flyover’ and see the latest progress

The residential-retail project is the university’s largest ever, and the most expansive development in the history of South Los Angeles

The buildings at the USC Village construction site continue to rise, as you can see from the latest drone video.

The $650 million project — the largest in university history — is slated to open in fall 2017. The 1.25-million-square-foot project includes residential colleges for up to 2,700 students, and ground-level shops including a Trader Joe’s market.
